BRAIN HEALTH WEBINAR
Mental clarity, mood stability, and focus start with what’s on your plate.
For #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, I had the pleasure of delivering a session on Cognitive Function – Food for Your Brain for Imperial College London, diving into how nutrition and lifestyle choices impact mental wellbeing for both women and men.
It’s never been more important to understand how our daily choices, especially around how food can either support or sabotage our mental wellbeing.
We dove into how what we eat directly impacts brain function, influencing clarity, focus, energy, memory, and emotional resilience.
We explored the science behind:
🔹 The gut-brain axis
🔹 Foods that enhance cognitive function
🔹 The role of stress, sleep, and inflammation in brain fog and low mood
🔹 Practical strategies for busy lives, because real change starts with small, sustainable shifts
Many attendees recognised themselves in the symptoms discussed, from afternoon brain fog to low motivation, and left feeling inspired, empowered, and ready to make changes that support not just mental health, but whole-body wellbeing.
The feedback was amazing, and it’s clear there’s a growing awareness that mental health isn’t just about mindset, it’s also about nourishment, rest, and connection.
Feedback from some of the attendees:
1. "Brilliant, very informative, and kept me engaged with very useful info." Emma. S
2. "Very informative and extremely helpful. Many key information, especially related to gut microbiota. I liked the way Rodina gave the presentation. It was easy to follow and not boring at all. She gave us a lot of useful information and tips to improve our lives and happiness." Alessandra. B
